To Our Valued Customers
The situation around the COVID-19 virus has now moved into a pandemic state as
declared by the World Health Organization. With that in mind, we want to update you
on the steps we are taking to keep our employees and customers safe.
Like most companies we are monitoring the situation daily and updating our Policies as
new Travel Advice and Health Advisories becomes available.
New QPS travel restrictions have been put in place for all of our travelling staff. As a
result, we had already discontinued all international travel a while ago and we are now
also discontinuing cross border travel to/from the USA and Canada due to the closure of
the Canada/USA border to all but essential travel. In addition, to keep our staff and
customers safe, we have also taken added precautions to restrict visits to our premises
by not allowing visitors that have travelled outside of the country in the last 14 days.
Knowing that life must go on and our customers still need to do business, we want you
to know that we will continue to provide the services you need. Our test laboratories will
continue to operate, and our field evaluation/certification inspectors will still perform
inspections subject to your Health & Safety Procedures related to COVID-19. In some
cases, the inspection can be done remotely by sending your equipment to our QPS Test
Lab for inspection.
Factory Inspectors will also continue to perform required inspections subject to the
travel restrictions of the country where the factory is located and also in accordance with
our travel policies and our customers’ Health & Safety procedures surrounding COVID-
19. Inspections which are required to be postponed will not affect the Certification status
of our customers.
In an effort to adhere to social distancing, we are arranging for some of our office staff
to work from home during this time, however customers will not see any disruption in
services. Overall, our staff are committed to providing you with the best service
possible.
